There are no words to adequately describe our shock at the loss of our beloved Fr. Stan. He was our priest at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church for 15 years in Bandera. He inspired us, guided us to a deeper faith and was never afraid to stand up for the Catholic Church's teachings. We shared the baptism of our first grandson with him and in later years, Fr. Stan asked him to be his Altar Server, which he still is today. Be at peace dear Fr. Stan. You are missed.

Father Stanley was a fantastic priest, always had a smile for everyone. He would brighten the darkest days when he would call or come to visit Our Lady of Sorrows. We loved when he visited OLS with his dog. May he rest in the peace of the Lord. The Littlefield Family

Story shared: Fond Memories

Our family has so many fond memories of Father Stanley from his time at St. Victor’s Chapel in Lakehills. He was a good at sharing his life stories. He told us stories about when he was a kid in Poland playing European football, his two day stint in paratrooper school (they drop you off a high tower with a parachute on, and if your legs don’t break then you passed the test!), and why everyone should love opera. He had so much fun with our youth on our yearly trips to Schlitterbahn. The first time he brought that up the kids told me that I had to tell Father Stanley how to pronounce Schlitterbahn right. He said to me, “My lady, my people gave you that word!” When I told him what the kids were hearing him say, he changed the way he pronounced it! I will remember most his laughter and his smiling eyes. He loved his family very much, and nothing made him happier than getting to spend time with them. We will miss Father Stanley very much.

It was my pleasure not only to have known Fr. Stan as a friend for 15 years but also as his Secretary for 3 of those. He was kind, wise and funny and was taken from us far too soon. I cherish the time I spent in his company, learning and laughing. He wouldn't want me to be sad but this has been hard to write, love you and miss you Father Stan.

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this condolence to Fr. Stan's family. We here in St. Ann's in Kosciusko are very sad with his passing. He will be highly missed by all who knew him even for the short time he was here. What a wonderful man of God he was and always ready with a huge smile for his flock. May he Rest in Our Lords loving hands for all eternity. Fr. Stan please remember us when our time comes to greet you again. You will forever live in our hearts.
