Vera (Barr) Bunte passed on to her eternal home on November 7, 2018 while surrounded by her loved ones at home. Vera was born on September 13, 1931, in Lake City, South Carolina, the daughter of James Daniel Barr and Ida Jane (Cantey) Barr. Vera married Edwin Lee Bunte on February 17, 1950 in Sumter, South Carolina. She enjoyed cooking and serving big family dinners. She was a fan of game shows and loved to garden, birdwatch and read her Bible. Vera loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband Edwin; brothers, Beasley Evans, Hildrey Evans, Jahue Evans, Marion Evans, Franklin Barr, and James Daniel Barr; sisters, Anna Hanford, Lorraine Stone, and Velma Farmer. She is survived by her children, Edwin Bunte, Jr., Wanda Drzymala, Cynthia Linares, and Daniel Bunte; grandchildren, Kristi Bunte, Kali White, Atticus McCoy, Amber Linares, Allison Linares, Amanda Linares, Tyler Linares, Abigail Linares, and Dustin Bunte; great-grandchildren, Vivian White, Marla White, and Mariah Seale; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, 6:00pm-9:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas.
