Obituary for Graciela Leija (Garcia)
Graciela Leija, 70, of La Vernia, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, while at home surrounded by her loved ones. Graciela was born on February 14, 1948 in Coahuila, Mexico, the daughter of Fermin Garcia and Maria de Jesus (Contreras) Garcia. Graciela worked at Randolph Air Force Base for 17 years and retired in 2007. Graciela married Raymundo Leija in December of 1967 in Mexico. Graciela is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Emerie Leija; and sister, Irma Castillo. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Raymundo Leija; daughter, Martha Valerio; sons, Carlos Leija and Raymond Leija, Jr.; sisters, Dora Rejino and Maria Garcia; brothers, Juan Garcia, Pedro Garcia and Jaime Garcia; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018, 5:00pm-8:00pm, with Rosary Vigil prayed at 7:00pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas.
