Cecilio Salinas, 79, of Victoria, formerly of Yorktown, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018. He was born Nov. 2, 1938, in Yorktown, to the late Severo Salinas and Elena Canales Villarreal.

Cecilio was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Julia Prado Salinas; step-dad, Alvino Villareal; sister, Elda Villareal; and grandson, Edward Avila.

He is survived by his children, Elsie Avila (Jesse), Roland Salinas (Nora), Daniel Salinas (Susan), Gilbert Salinas (Corina), Rosemary Villafranco (Paul Jr), Elvira Salinas, Stella Cervantes, Cecilio Salinas Jr, Freddy Salinas and Brenda Salinas; 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; sisters, Maria Elizardo (Eustagio) and Dominga “Minga” Sierra (Jim).

Visitation is 5-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm, Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, at Finch Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 2:00pm, Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at San Luis Catholic Church with Father Charles Otsiwah officiating. Interment will follow at San Luis Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be George Sierra, James Sierra, Rene Sierra, Daniel Salinas Jr, John Garcia Sr, Eustagio Elizardo Jr and Jonathan Moreno.
