Obituary for Irene R. Gerlich (Lubianski)

Irene R. Gerlich of Adkins, Texas passed away on January 24, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 91. Irene was born in St. Hedwig, Texas on January 24, 1927 to Ludwig Lubianski and Tekla Mikolajczyk Lubianski. Irene is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon F. Gerlich; son, Leon John Gerlich; brothers, August, Steven, Edward, John and Albert Lubianski; sisters, Emma Cellmer and Helen Aniol; and son-in-law, Kenneth Massey. She is survived by her daughters, Isabel Syamken (Alan), Catherine Gerlich, and Mary Massey; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Gerlich: grandchildren, Rose Brett (Kenneth), Melany Pope (Danny), Lea Phillips, and Matthew Syamken (Jackie Lassare); great-grandchildren, Andy Brett, Shelby Brett (Alex Jiminez), Bryanna Arizola (Javier), Gus Brett, Bryce Pope, Kenzie Pope, Dustin Simmons, Tabatha Syamken, McKenzie Syamken, and Jaxon Syamken; great-great-grandchildren, Troy Adams, Jr., Alli Jiminez, and McKenzie Simmons; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28, 2018, from 5:00pm-8:00pm, at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia; Rosary Vigil to be prayed at 7:00pm.
