Katherine Dylla, age 88, of Adkins, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017 at her home with her daughter and son by her side. Katherine was born January 15, 1929 in Adkins to Joseph and Hedwig (Hudek) Skalski. She enjoyed cooking, baking, visiting her grandchildren, admiring wildlife and riding the Kawasaki Mule on the farm. However, one of her greatest joys was gardening and sharing her tomatoes with her family and friends. Her parents; husband Ben Dylla; daughter Shirley Perkins; sisters Annie Padalecki, Joan Shadrock and Rosalie Skalski, along with four other infant siblings, precede her in death. Katherine is survived by her children Joyce Kenneally (Ken) and Gary Dylla (Trisha); grandchildren Katherine Stefan (Craig), Amanda Perkins, Ashley Perkins, Nicole Gutz (Jeremiah), Bryan Kenneally, Jennifer Dylla and Mikayla Dylla; great-grandchildren Sara Stefan, Andrew Stefan, Philip Stefan, Mary Grace Stefan, Anna Stefan, Emily Perkins, Jonathan Perkins, Elliott Ellison and Ollivian Gutz; sisters Josephine Padalecki, Bessie Henze, Julia Zaiontz, Mary Holub, Agnes DeWinne and Carolyn Fowler (Dean); brother Joseph Skalski; numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will take place Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm (with a Rosary Vigil recited at 7:00pm) at Finch Funeral Chapel, La Vernia.

Annunciation BVM Catholic Church, St Hedwig

Father Bill Zadora will officiate at the mass. Interment will follow in the Annunciation BVM Catholic Cemetery, St. Hedwig. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Katherine’s name by way of mass intentions.
