Obituary for Phyllis J Boldt (Biggerstaff)

Phyllis Jeannette Boldt entered into eternal rest on September 14, 2017 at the age of 97. She was born in Newkirk, Oklahoma on August 4, 1920 to the late Elisha W. Biggerstaff and Alice (McCleary) Biggerstaff. Phyllis attended Newkirk High School where she was active in the Theater and Glee Club and graduated in 1937. She was employed with the Newkirk, Kay County Courthouse in the county treasurer's office for many years. She met Frank Talley Boldt (a TSgt. in the US Army Air Corps) and married on June 1, 1945 in Winfield, Kansas. They moved to Texas to begin a new life together in Yorktown. She was a wife and homemaker, mother of five children, partner and bookkeeper in the running of the family farm, electrical, and TV repair business. Phyllis loved to read, sew, knit, crochet, play solitaire, work cross word puzzles, and was a Girl Scout leader. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Talley Boldt; son, Frank T. Boldt III; and daughter-in-law, Chris Boldt. Phyllis is survived by her children, Toby Boldt and husband Larry Henderson of Eustace, Texas, Vera and husband Stanley Barre of Hobson, Texas, Mary Beth and husband Kenneth Brewer of Copeville, Texas, and Max Boldt of Plano, Texas; seven grandchildren, Kenley Boldt Brewer, Michael James Barre and wife Gayle, Delana Lynn Barre Lemley and husband Aaron, Kevin Scott Barre, Heather Dawn Barre Redburn and husband Stephen, Dewayne Brewer, and Kendra Brewer. Nine great-grandchildren, Ethan Barre, Ava Barre, Nathan Lemley, Madelyn Lemley, Keira Redburn, Kinsley Redburn, Inlovlye Brewer, Aura Brewer and Kameron Brewer. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Finch Funeral Chapel- Yorktown.

Monday, September 18, 2017
2:00 p.m.
Memory Gardens Cemetery
Victoria, Texas

Rev. Mark Collins will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Michael Barre, Kevin Barre, Kenley Brewer, Stanley Barre, Kenneth Brewer, Larry Henderson, Aaron Lemley and Stephen Redburn.
