Maria Salas Garcia, 102, of Runge, died Sunday, August 13, 2017. She was born November 30, 1914, in Runge, to the late Silvestre and Victoria Gonzales Salas.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dionicio Garcia; brothers, Manuel Salvador Silvestre Jr and Raul Salas; and sisters, Juanita Salas and Jesusa Ramirez.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Carmen Moreno; grand-nephews, Jose Omero Salas Sr (Elisa) and Efrain Pena (Catarina); numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; sister, Benita Guerra; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 5-8pm and a Rosary at 7pm, Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Finch Funeral Chapel - Runge. Funeral Mass will be at 10am, Thursday, August 17, 2017 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Runge with Rev. Wieslaw Iwaniec officiating. Burial will follow at Runge Latin American Cemetery.
