Obituary for Joyce H. Russell (Pettit)
Joyce H. Russell, 83 of Stockdale, Texas passed away on July 18, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. Joyce was born on January 7, 1934 in Luling, Texas to Louis Ray Pettit and Irene Trench Pettit. On December 29, 1967, she married Claude Steven “C.S.” Russell in Floresville. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; step sons, Bobby Russell and Claude Russell; step-daughter, Rose West; brothers, Lewis Pettit and Joe Pettit; and sister, Francis Shoemake. She is survived by children, Steve Stowe (Pat), Liz White (Joe), Linda Smith, Vickie Gesiel (Mitchell), Delores Williams (Jerry), Teresa Swygard, and Steven Swygard (Irene); step-daughter, Gail Mayfield (Pat); brother, David Pettit; 15 grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; as well as other loving family and friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017, 5:00pm-8:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale, Texas.
