Obituary for Eunice America Egbert (Falks)

Eunice America, wife, mother, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, left us to join other angels in heaven on December 20, 2016. She was born July 4, 1923 in Gonzales, Texas. She loved her family unconditionally and was a friend to everyone she met. “Grandma”, as she was known to most, could make a delicious meal for a crowd out of whatever was handy. Her biscuits were legendary. Many times, life dealt her unbelievably hard blows but she overcame them to become the strong woman she was. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a very social, good natured lady who had a quick smile, loved a party, have a good time, and a beer or two with family and friends. Waiting to greet her in heaven are her parents, Benjamin and Maggie Falks; first husband, Arthur Hanson; second husband Walter Egbert; companion, Harry “Fuzzy” Odlozelik; sons, Monroe, Thomas, Arthur, Virgil, Charles and Michael Hanson; grandsons, Michael Jr. and Danny; granddaughter, Tressie and her husband Brian; and daughters-in-law, Sherry and Patricia Hanson. She is survived by her son, Frank Hanson and wife Betty; daughter, Eva Hickman and partner John Dunn; sister, Virgie Martin; 17 grandkids; 34 great-grandkids; 6 great-great-grandkids with 2 more due in 2017. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27 at 10:00am at Harlandale United Methodist Church, 2655 S. Flores, San Antonio, Texas.
