Obituary for Mary Magdalen Wiatrek

Mary Magdalen (Pawelek) Wiatrek entered into eternal rest on December 14, 2016 at the age of 92. She was born on May 1, 1924 in Panna Maria, Texas to Joe and Isabella (Lyssy) Pawelek. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo J. Wiatrek; and her parents; son-in-law, Larry Lyssy; brothers, Louis Pawelek and Isidore Pawelek; and sisters, Rosie Janysek and Justine Gawlik. She is survived by her children, Margaret Lyssy of Kosciusko, Raymond Wiatrek of Kosciusko, Evelyn Drzymala (Claude) of Stockdale, Gilbert Wiatrek (Janet) of San Antonio, and Larry Wiatrek (Penne) of Kosciusko; grandchildren, Sherry Lambeck (Carter), Wesley Drzymala (Brandi), Adam Wiatrek (Tatum), Emily Wiatrek, Katie Hancock (Trevor), Karah Wiatrek; great-grandchildren, Chloe, Cali, Colton Wiatrek, Brody and Wyatt Drzymala, Collyn and Canaan Lambeck; sister, Annie Jaskinia of Kosciusko; sister-in-law, Bernice Rutkowski of Karnes City; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends and neighbors. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Kosciusko and the Rosary will be recited at 10:15 a.m. that same day.

Interment will follow at St. Ann’s Parish Cemetery in Kosciusko. Father Dennis Jarzombek and Father Damien Jaje will officiate the services. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church- Kosciusko.
