Obituary for Anthony "Tony" A. Doege

Anthony “Tony” A. Doege, age 72, passed away on August 28, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. Tony was born on September 18, 1943 in Seguin, Texas to Joseph J. Doege and Ida (Pierdolla) Doege. On June 4, 1966, Tony married Linda Bielke. He is preceded in death by his parents. Tony was very involved in his community, including The American Legion, and was a lifetime member of the Bexar and Germania Bowling Clubs. Tony is loved and will be missed dearly by his wife of 50 years, Linda (Bielke) Doege; children, Aaron Ray Doege and wife Michelle of Olmos, Shawn Doege and wife Lori of St. Hedwig, and Jason W. Doege and wife Chasity, also of St. Hedwig; grandchildren, Cassidy Doege, Christian Watkins, Connor Doege, Justin Doege, Colten Doege, Cheyenne Doege, Wyatt Doege, Casey Hays, Jonathan Risenhoover, and Christopher Risenhoover; great-grandchildren, Tristen Hays, Kayden Hays, Vincent Watkins, Aundrea Doege, Serenity Doege, Connor Doege Jr., and Hunter Doege; siblings, Agnes Kotara and husband Don, Robert Doege Sr. and wife Thelma, and Catherine Pope and husband Robert. Visitation will be held on August 31, 2016, 5:00pm-9:00pm at Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, September 1, 2016, 10:00am, at Annunciation BVM Catholic Church in St. Hedwig, Texas. Interment will follow at Annunciation BVM Catholic Cemetery. Father Ricardo Hernandez and Father Pawel Fiacek will officiate the services. You are welcome to leave messages of condolence at www.finchfuneralchapels.com.
